Cornwall Tourism Awards 2024

The Cornwall Tourism Awards not only honour excellence but also encourage continuous improvement and high standards within the industry, ensuring that Cornwall remains a premier destination for visitors.

I was fortunate to work with Robin Barker and Nel at the Awards, held at Truro Cathedral. As a volunteer, I played a key role in assisting with the event's setup during the day and had the privilege of attending the awards ceremony in the evening.

My role involved helping with logistical arrangements, ensuring the smooth running of the event, and providing support to the team throughout the day. This included:

Coordinating setup tasks to prepare the beautiful cathedral venue for the awards.

• Assisting with seating arrangements, signage, and decorations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

• Observing the intricate planning and execution of a large-scale event in an iconic location.

In the evening, I had the opportunity to engage with tourism professionals, network with industry leaders, and celebrate the success of local businesses in Cornwall.

The event proved to be an incredible networking opportunity. Engaging with professionals in the tourism and events industries allowed me to make meaningful connections and discuss potential collaborations. I was honored to receive two job offers during the evening, reflecting the positive impression I made through my professionalism and enthusiasm.
